Congratulations to Jacob Dobbs who has accepted a position as a scanning specialist with History IT.

Dr. Nicole Etcheson published “Massacre at Baxter Springs,” on the New York Times Disunion blog.

Dr. Ken Hall’s book, Networks of Trade, Polity, and Societal Integration in Chola-era South India, c. 875-1279, has been published by the Primus Press (New Dehli, India) in hardback and paperback editions.

Dr. Tony Edmonds has been named a recipient of a Benny Award for 2013. The Benny Award is the Ball State Alumni Association’s top award for service to Ball State University or the Ball State University Alumni Association. The award gets its name from the statue of Beneficence, the last commissioned piece of sculpture by Daniel Chester French, and the university’s long-standing symbol of unselfish contribution of one’s talents, energy, and time.
